At an event hosted by Kennesaw State University outside Atlanta, the Georgia Writers Association awarded DEFIANT author Alvin Townley it's Writer of the Year Award in the evening's largest category, History. In the award presentation, the Association praised not only the writing in DEFIANT, but the extraordinary prisoners of war and wives featured in the nationally-acclaimed book.
