On Thursday, April 28, Alvin Townley's new book Fly Navy made its debut on shelves at the National Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola, Florida. That same night, singer Jimmy Buffett performed a private benefit concert at the museum for 500 donors, supporters, and fans. Parrotheads, as his fans are known, came from as far away as Indiana to see the intimate show, which raised more than $250,000 for the Museum. Buffett has long been a supporter of the U.S. military and a seaplane enthusiast, and he had returned to his Gulf Coast roots for the special show.
